When I was in school, I would have chafed at the idea of mandatory uniforms.
In fact, in high school, my group of friends protested against the district even tightening its dress code - simply because it was rumored there would be a stricter code.
I considered the idea of a dress code or uniforms to be fascist and draconian at best.
Flash forward.
As the mother of two boys, I love the idea of uniforms! They're fantastic! It makes it far easier to get ready in the morning, I can tell you.
