Before you became a mother was there something you said you would never do as a mom?  Maybe you said you would never give a pacifier to your baby...but did.  Or you said you'd never let your child watch too much, if any TV? 

Most people, before becoming parents see other parents doing things that they swear they'd never do.  And then find themselves doing those very things.  I said "I'll never let my child sleep in the bed with me/us".  And because I worked out of the home and my daughter wouldn't sleep during the night and cried a lot - I did what I had to do to survive.

Unfortunately, kids do not come with owner's manuals.  We just have to wing it.  And sometimes, like me, we do what we have to do to maintain our sanity.  I know I shouldn't feel too bad because in many cultures co-sleeping or the "family bed" is completely normal.

So what is your "I'll never do that" statement?  We would love to hear it!
